Dr. Faize has a doctorate in Education with specialization in Science Education. He has extensive work experience in pedagogy and teacher training. His areas of interests include science education, learning and instruction and higher education research. He has undertaken various research projects and published over 50 research publications. He is the member of various national and international societies. He is also on the editorial board of several international journals. His present research endeavors are focussed on higher education research and application of scientific argumentation in teaching in Pakistani context.

The COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) was established in 1998. Presently, CUI has eigth campuses with the following achievements.
